Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of Science Inquiry Studio (Sinq.Studio), a classroom platform for teacher-guided science inquiry activities. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Accounts and Roles
Science Inquiry Studio is for teachers, students, and school administrators who use the platform for science learning. Teacher accounts may require approval before full access is granted. Students should use the service under the direction of a teacher, school, parent, or guardian, as appropriate.
Acceptable Use
Science Inquiry Studio exists for safe, age-appropriate science learning. You may not use the service to create, request, or distribute content involving:
- Weapons or instructions for causing harm.
- Harassment or bullying.
- Other people's private personal information.
- Academic dishonesty.
- Illegal activity.
- Unsafe experiments.
Teacher and Student Responsibilities
Teachers are responsible for configuring activities and supervising how their classes use the platform. Students should follow their teacher's instructions and their school's rules. Every user is responsible for the activity content, chat messages, files, and artifacts they create or upload.
Your Content
The content you create or upload — activities, messages, files, and artifacts — remains yours, and you remain responsible for it. Before uploading a file, make sure you have the right to use and share it.
AI-Generated Content
Science Inquiry Studio uses AI assistants and tools to help with explanations, planning, data analysis, charts, simulations, presentations, and other learning artifacts. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect. Review important information, calculations, and scientific claims before relying on them.
Google Classroom Import
Teachers may choose to connect Google Classroom to import course and roster information. This feature is entirely optional. By using it, a teacher authorizes Science Inquiry Studio to read the selected Classroom data needed to create or update classes and student memberships. Our Privacy Policy describes how this data is handled.
Accounts and Security
Keep your login credentials secure, and do not share your account unless a teacher has explicitly set up a classroom-safe shared login process. If you believe an account has been misused, let us know at the address below.
Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service as the platform evolves. We may also suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms, including the acceptable use rules above.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated terms on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the updated terms.
